Business Objects Provides Data Quality Platform For Siebel CRM

Business Objects launches a version of its data quality platform that has been tightly integrated with Oracle's Siebel customer-relationship management applications.

Business Objects on Monday launched a version of its data quality platform that has been tightly integrated with Oracle's Siebel customer-relationship management applications.

Data Quality XI for Siebel can provide consistent, enterprise-wide data-quality through a centralized business rules repository that can be accessed over a service-oriented architecture.

BO's data quality platform parses and standardizes customer and operational data, and consolidates information to create a single view across databases. The tool, which complements BO's BI products, can be integrated with other applications using Web services standards or customized toolkits. Business Objects, based in San Jose, Calif., has a long-standing partnership with Oracle. BO's BI technology is embedded across Oracle's current PeopleSoft Enterprise, JD Edeards EnterpriseOne and JD Edwards World business applications.
