Salesnet To Service Small Businesses

Hosted CRM vendor also partners to provide integration help to customers.
Salesnet Inc. is bringing its hosted customer-relationship-management service to small businesses and partnering with AptSoft Corp. to offer integration services to large customers that need to connect sales-force functionality to other systems, including back-office and campaign-management software.

AptSoft will provide prebuilt adapters, taking advantage of Web services and application programming interfaces, to keep integration costs down. AptSoft will charge a per-user monthly fee for each integration. Salesnet's own monthly fees range from $14.95 per user for up to 10 users of its Express Edition for small businesses to $99 per user. The Express package is a slimmed-down version of its hosted offering that includes its best-practice sales-process workflows.

Simplicity can be an attraction for small and large customers. Sovereign Bank, a $40 billion financial institution, has 335 employees in its commercial markets group using Salesnet for sales tracking, reporting, and more. Bill Patten, director of sales and policy administration, was looking for a tool that could be deployed quickly and easily maintained. Salesnet "has allowed us to make a better quality of calls," he says. And that's what counts: "The process of selling should be straightforward and simple."
