When customers drive innovation
It's funny, working on the reseller side, we are often helping our customers figure out how to tackle their current IT headaches, so seeing a healthcare provider push the bar back, and find new ways to tackle these issues themselves is a rare sight indeed.
What really, caught my attention is that they hit a very important point by saying "Those EHRs were mainly designed to facilitate charge capture and billing for the highest level of services possible in a rapidly receding healthcare system that rewarded procedures rather than results"
Many healthcare providers are content with the status quo until the industry forces them to change they way they operate (no pun intended), so to see an organization push back and rethink the way they want to interact with their patients, and practically redesigning the system itself so they can drive better insight and result, wow. We need more healthcare providers like this!
