GSM device based on Windows Mobile will be available in the first quarter of 2005.
E-TEN Information Systems, a Taiwanese electronics vendor, this week announced unveiled a Windows-based PDA/cameraphone.
The company said in a statement that its M500 device will work with GSM/GPRS systems. The company said the device has built-in Bluetooth capabilities and a 1.3 megapixel camera. It is based on the Pocket PC Phone Edition version of the Windows Mobile 2003 platform. It is based on a 400 MHz processor from Samsung and will have 130 MB of user-accessible RAM. It also will have a SD card slot.
The vendor did not disclose pricing but said the device will be widely available in the first quarter of 2005.
