In the coming future ubiquitous society, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags will be affixed to every product and person. This technology is anticipated to be a key technology that will be utilized by various ubiquitous services where these tags will be used to identify things and people and will automatically take advantage of contextual information such as location. On the other hand, a problem is arising where the excellent tracking ability of RFID is abused and personal privacy is being violated.
ADSL and other broadband services are proliferating at an increasingly rapid pace, and the distribution of stored image contents has now begun. Users can obtain network cameras at an affordable price, and one can expect to see a steady increase in the types of images that can be used, including live images sent by video phone. One expects that there will be an increase in demand for simpler selection of images that are of interest to users from among the huge number of available images.
This paper describes the Advanced Virtualization and Sharing of IT Resources for Shared Data Centers. The paper presents a shared data center approach that facilitates the outsourcing of Information Technology (IT) systems and describes one of its key components, the shared load balancer, which is implemented by replacing the conventional physical load balancer function with a virtual load balancer function and helps to implement the sharing of servers and firewalls.
