Just about once a month, for our Valley View live Web TV show, I sit down to examine the news, take one cynical pill, one smart-ass elixir, and write a few ... alternative takes on the news: rants, unfair swipes, nearly libelous asides. Call it a monologue for Valley View. You can watch it in the video embedded below.

Some of the items I've taken potshots at this time include the stumblings of Facebook (and an in-the-works Ryan Seacrest TV show built around Draw Something), Apple's hilarious opening to its Worldwide Developer Conference, vendor customer conferences in general, Microsoft's new Surface tablet, Larry Ellison's purchase of Hawaiian island Lanai, and a few more tidbits.
