re: iOS 6 Adoption Rate Soars
This would be news of the upgrades contributed to revenue but it doesn't. The real story is something you don't write about. if so many fewer (percent) of Android users don't upgrade, perhaps it is because they are content with what they have, meaning it just works.

Why not write a story about the expected longevity of smartphones as related to durability, benefits of use and so on? While Apple manages to hustle its fans into standing in line, most people do not and think those that do are rather silly. Are iPhones really that disposable that each year customers need a new one?

Just think for a moment, what it takes for someone to stand in line for a mobile phone. There are people who at the mere mention of a new iPhone will plan to stand in line waiting for one. Can you imagine being one of those people?

IT's Reputation: What the Data Says
InformationWeek's IT Perception Survey seeks to quantify how IT thinks it's doing versus how the business really views IT's performance in delivering services - and, more important, powering innovation. Our results suggest IT leaders should worry less about whether they're getting enough resources and more about the relationships they have with business unit peers.
