This is good news, although I've only had a couple of occasions in the past when Gmail couldn't accommodate an attachment I wanted to mail. In fact, I used to use Gmail as an alternative to my then-corporate account, which was quite stingy about the size of attachments (IMHO), when I needed to send a huge, say, graphics file.
