Apple will really need to generate some good buzz around its upcoming products too, even more so given the long stretch between product releases. After all, the iPhone has been around for almost 6 years now, and the iPad for 3 years. Like the iPod a few years after its launch, they have lost a bit of their 'wow' factor. The next updates to the iPad or iPhone will need to be pretty major and exciting if Apple wants to grab back customers from the competition, and also get their existing customers to think it's worthwhile upgrading their phones or tablets...
