Overall, I think this is a good move for Google -- one that seems to be a genuine, honest interest to "do good." I think the questions that Thomas brought up here are valid. I think users just have to be careful to examine the percentages that actually make it back to the organization (and once there, where those funds will go). I wouldn't have a problem if 95 percent of the donation (or even a little less) made it to the organization, so long as Google can justify the credit card processing and other administrative fees. As long as Google is not profiting from it, I think it would be acceptable.
