Gimme My Push E-Mail

Is that possible?OK, it's a vendor commissioned survey, so it's probably got a little hype in it. The key word above being "could." But, let's drill down.
Visto found that close to 60% of those surveyed admitted that one year ago they thought mobile e-mail was too expensive for most of their workforce. Today, roughly 70% said they thought mobile e-mail was now affordable.

Let's get to the facts. The survey only found 40% of those questioned currently use mobile e-mail (so much for 70% penetration), but half of those only started using it in the last year. I think that might be one of them tipping points.
Also of note, another 30% surveyed said they plan to use mobile e-mail in the next 12 months.
Does this mean that 70% of professionals will use mobile e-mail by the end of this year? Not by a long shot. But it does mean that a lot more will. And that the day of 70% mobile e-mail penetration is a lot closer than you think.
