NCAA Round 1 And 2 Highlights

Posted by Fritz Nelson, Mar 24, 2008 02:32 AM

Damn these brackets. Let me tell you how bad it is. After round one, my colleague Mitch Wagner was ahead of me. This is a guy we had to explain the tournament to; a guy who sent out an e-mail about our Hoop Madness site with the subject line "NBA Tournament."

The games were spectacular, with some intriguing upsets, like Siena’s first-round win over Vanderbilt, Belmont’s near-win over Duke, who later lost to West Virginia, or Davidson’s surprising win over the heavily favored, number two seed Georgetown (who made it to the Final Four last year).

Most of the top seeds had scares, with UCLA needing miraculous plays to outlast Texas A&M, Tennessee fighting off Butler, and Stanford surviving a coach ejection and incredible guard play from Marquette.

Here are some highlights courtesy of CBSSports.com's mashup program. Yes, I made this myself and you can, too. I called mine InformationWeek Mashup 1. Make yours and share it here with a link or an embed.
