Person who purportedly hacked VP hopeful Sarah Palin’s Yahoo E-mail account posted what he or she claimed to be a first-person account of the attack. Meanwhile, the FBI is on the case of the pwned candidate’s account.

Kim Zetter from Wired reports:

The hacker said that he read all of the e-mails in the Palin account and found "nothing incriminating, nothing that would derail her campaign as I had hoped. All I saw was personal stuff, some clerical stuff from when she was governor. ... And pictures of her family." Once the hacker had read the e-mails in Palin's account, he said he suddenly realized what he'd done and how vulnerable he was to being caught, since he'd used only a single proxy service to hide his IP address.

In other developments, a Web proxy service named Ctunnel.com appears likely to have been used during the breach. This is from Computerworld’s Jaikumar Vijayan:

Gabriel Ramuglia, the Athens, Ga.-based webmaster of Ctunnel, said today that URLs in screenshots of Palin's e-mail -- photos were posted online yesterday on 4chan.org and other sites -- suggested that whoever accessed her Yahoo Mail account had used his proxy service.

That story, available here, goes on to explain that Ramuglia has been contacted, and is cooperating, with an FBI investigation.
