The Firefox 3 interface isn't too different, at first, from the current version. Differences emerge as you dig down.  Firefox 3 integrates bookmarks and history into a single database, called "Places."  The star next to the address bar allows users to bookmark pages with a single click.  Zooming increases the size of the whole page, not just the text as with previous versions.  Bold warnings are designed to alert users when they try to access suspicious pages. (How well those warnings work remains to be seen.)  Clicking on a page's favicon shows the owner and other information about the page -- in theory.  More information on sites are available after clicking on the favicon.  The remember-the-password dialogue box in earlier versions of Firefox is replaced by a narrow strip between the Web page and the address bar.  Before exiting, Firefox 3 prompts the user whether to save open tabs.
