In Search Of Star Quality

Known for creative thinking and innovation, MIT students and faculty know their buildings not by names but by numbers, such as Building 10. Voyant Technologies is taking a different tack: The voice-conferencing company hopes that naming meeting rooms after legendary achievers will inspire its staff.

Its Michelangelo conference room is near marketing; the games room is dubbed Disney; and the fitness room bears Charles Atlas' name. The idea came from quality-assurance developer Scott Muller when Voyant was moving to a new building. Muller also submitted the roster of all 12 leaders.
