Brief: Deal Expands AT&T Hotspots In Europe

The additional hotspots are mostly in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, Ireland, France, Hungary, and Israel.

AT&T said Monday that it has added availability to 18,000 hotspots in Europe and Israel through a new roaming agreement with Swiss communications aggregator WeRoam.

The company said in a statement that the additional hotspots are mostly located in Germany, Switzerland, Belguim, Spain, Ireland, France, Hungary and Israel.

AT&T also operates about 11,000 hotspots in the U.S., including those in Barnes & Noble bookstores and some McDonald's restaurants. It said that it now has 33,000 hotspots available to subscribers worldwide.

"The addition of these new Wi-Fi hot spots throughout Europe and Asia provides our customers with the ability to work anywhere, at anytime with full access to the Internet," Mark Keiffer, AT&T's chief marketing officerfor business, said in a statement.
