Remember Google the way it was in 2001? Slightly funky logo, exclamation point on the end. Lots of white space. Proud declaration above the query-box: "Search 1,326,920,000 Web pages"?Now you can go back and relive those glory days by visiting http://www.google.com/search2001.html, where Google (on the occasion of its tenth anniversary) has put up its old site, linked to the oldest index it could find (which dates to 2001).

You can get a sense of how old the index is by running a few quick searches. A search on RedDot brings back hits on InfoOffice (with nary a mention of Open Text). A search on Alfresco brings back a lot of links to Italian food sites.

Those were the days...Remember Google the way it was in 2001? Slightly funky logo, exclamation point on the end. Lots of white space. Proud declaration above the query-box: "Search 1,326,920,000 Web pages"? Now you can go back and relive those glory days!
