Multitouch Displays Get Big And Fast

A new family of multitouch monitors from 3M are fast, big and support large numbers of simultaneous touches.

3M is demonstrating a new generation of multitouch monitors that are exceptionally fast and support up to 20 simultaneous touches.

I played a Pong-like game on the monitor and 3M's claims stand up to the test. It was really fast and there were 4 touches on the screen at any point. The game is shown briefly in the video below.

The gaming applications are obvious, but there are also business applications that 3M is more focused on, such as in hospitality.
