Google Gets Break In Gmail Privacy Lawsuits

People who claim Gmail violates anti-wiretapping laws must pursue their claims individually rather than as a group.

This is an interesting development. It does make clear one thing: That each time this issue comes up, it comes across as something very different - at least in the eyes of the court.

I'm not a legal expert, but I would think if I were someone who wanted to fight Google on privacy issues that a person by person individual case would be a better examination of the specific issues at hand.
