Re: Interesting trends...
To me, that just shows me how far we've come with BYOD -- three, four years ago it was FAR from a given that you could access your work email on your personal device, especially if you were in a financial services company.

Are you seeing the industrial manufacturing sector exploring internet of things/industrial internet ideas -- maybe collecting machine performance data for analysis and alerts?

Interesting trends...
Nice article....I liked to see the trends, though my sector (industrial manufacturing) falls a bit behind.

One part stood out for me....to say that "BYOD is officially no big deal -- 86% of Elite 100 companies let employees use company email on personal devices" - seems a bit disingenuous. I don't think anyone would consider "company email on personal devices" as BYOD, as every major provider has some web interface that any company would let employees use from anywhere.
The Business of Going Digital

Digital business isn't about changing code; it's about changing what legacy sales, distribution, customer service, and product groups do in the new digital age. It's about bringing big data analytics, mobile, social, marketing automation, cloud computing, and the app economy together to launch new products and services. We're seeing new titles in this digital revolution, new responsibilities, new business models, and major shifts in technology spending.
