The clever and astute might recall seeing a similar incarnation on the Network Computing Blogs a while back. I convinced (read: fast-talked and begged) the powers-that-be that this would be a fun way to bid the last five days buh-bye and head into the weekend.
Welcome to our new end-of-the-week feature. The clever and astute might recall seeing a similar incarnation on the Network Computing Blogs a while back. I convinced (read: fast-talked and begged) the powers-that-be that this would be a fun way to bid the last five days buh-bye and head into the weekend. For our inaugural video, we've got a clever little mashup that's been making the rounds. Created as a school project, it's an "alternate opening sequence" for Star Wars -- had the movie been filmed 20 years earlier and created by graphic designer and Academy Award-winning filmmaker Saul Bass.
The result is a hilarious and classic tribute to Bass' style, a long-gone era and a Galaxy Far, Far Away.
As a bonus -- check out this "response" video, created as a gentle knock against Star Wars creator George Lucas' obsession with tinkering with his masterpieces.
