re: BYOD Security Tops Doctors' Mobile Device Worries
Until orders can be made on mobile devices, I don't imagine that there will be a big push in that arena. It's inconvenient to have to cycle through a device to check data and then a computer to do order entry. I also believe that BYOD policies should not be implemented as it allows for too much vulnerability of patient data being released, even if used through something like MDM. Without being able to fully control the platform, there's always a chance of something unintended happening.

A successful image sharing strategy needs to combine physician outreach with patient engagement. Even if radiologists cannot diagnose from their iPad yet, access to timely reports and relevant medical images can still enhance patient care. This video (http://youtu.be/bcoWLggWZwc) describes the use of CarestreamG«÷s Vue Motion viewer at Spire Healthcare, the UKG«÷s second largest provider of private healthcare. Since this viewer is PACS-agnostic, clinicians across Spire can securely view images from different vendorsG«÷ PACS across all 37 locations.
