Singing Turkey "Survives" 30 Million Times

The e-greeting card, which features a gobbler singing a parody of 70's disco star Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive," set a new record for AmericanGreetings.com.

A singing turkey cartoon has been downloaded more than 30 million times and viewed by one in every ten Americans, its online greeting card host said Wednesday.

The e-greeting card, which features an afro-topped gobbler singing a parody of 70's disco star Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive," set a new record for AmericanGreetings.com, the Cleveland company said, as its traffic soared nearly 1,000 percent in the last few weeks.

Set to the tune of "I Will Survive," the card has a dancing, spinning turkey belting out lines like:

"And now you're back, think you're the boss. Wanna put me on a plate next to your wife's cranberry sauce. I should know this day would come, I should have known not to relax. If I thought just for one second You'd come in here with that ax." The card can be previewed and sent from the American Greeting site.
