Overview: This paper published by Hewlett-Packard states that the Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) management processor for entry-level Integrity and HP9000 servers is an autonomous management subsystem embedded directly on the server. Like all management processors in the Integrity and HP9000 product line, it is the foundation of the server’s High Availability (HA), embedded health, and fault management capabilities. It also provides system administrators secure remote management capabilities regardless of server status or location.
