why the new name?
I mean... what u say as digital twin is nothing but providing enough transmitters and sensors to a physical object and get the real time information and display it remotely to a particular workplace. The same rule applies to present day DCS/SCADA systems used in industries, factories and plants across the globe. Say, a cement or power generation plant is a physical object which is running and it is supplied with various instruments and transmitters to get real time data like temperature, pressure, flow, etc and this is being given to the operators in a virtual DCS or SCADA server system with minimal graphics to mimic the real plant.
Apart from this DCS also monitors and operates too.. So whats new with Digital Twin?
