Fujitsu Canada announced a new Tablet PC this week protected by fingerprint identification.
Called the Stylistic ST5020/D, the slate form-factor computer is designed for data security and includes the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). TPM is an embedded security system that protects data from hackers and enables secure authentication. The Stylistic ST5020/D boasts a 1.10 GHz Intel Pentium M processor ULV 733, up to 91 hours of battery life (using an optional high-capacity battery), wide viewing angle (rated at up to 180-degree) and dedicated graphic chipset for sharper imaging and better sound capabilities, according to Fujitsu. The Stylistic ST5020/D Tablet PC comes standard with a Gigabit Ethernet LAN (10/100/1000 Base-T/TX), allowing users to connect at speeds of 1,000-megabit-per-second. Users can also choose between Atheros Super AG wireless (802.11a+b/g) LAN or Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection (802.11b/g). The Stylistic ST5020/D Tablet PC also includes dual microphones with IntelliSonic noise cancellation. The Fujitsu Stylistic ST5020/D is now shipping at a list price of $2,849 (Canadian).
