SmartCompany, Inc. has announced a major new upgrade to SmartCompany, its flagship hosted customer relationship management application. SmartCompany combines sales automation with project management, order tracking, accounting, product catalogs, and extensive reporting and security capabilities to provide one of the most complete hosted CRM solutions on the market.

The new release extends SmartCompany's lead in several areas. New features include workflow rules for tracking expected close dates and automatically generating follow-ups, tracking of payments in closed orders, rule-based commission tracking in closed orders, a global search capability for searching the entire database at once, a vastly improved import wizard for loading accounts and contacts from other systems, and significantly enhanced user and organization preferences to give customers more control over their SmartCompany experience.

"The features in this new release further underscore our commitment to bring full-lifecycle customer management to the hosted market," said Joe Zuffoletto, CEO and co-founder of the company. "All the new functionality is in response to customer input, and much of it affects the Orders module, which demonstrates the value our product brings to users outside the sales department."

Kerri Senn is a Marketing and Sales Coordinator for A C Systems, a manufacturer's representative in Denver, CO. Like the other 20 users at her company, she applauds the new SmartCompany release. "Our company tracks well over 1,000 orders per year, and until we discovered SmartCompany we relied on custom-built solutions.

Switching to SmartCompany was an easy decision because its order tracking capabilities far exceeded those of even our custom solutions. SmartCompany's payment and commission tracking features alone save our order coordinators hundreds of hours per year."

SmartCompany is available on a monthly subscription basis. Pricing is based on the number of users and features selected. SmartCompany Solo edition provides contact management, online calendar, and to-do list for one person free of charge. SmartCompany Startup edition provides the Solo features plus opportunity management for up to 5 users for $995 per year. Additional modules such as project management and order tracking can be added to a Startup subscription as needed for an additional charge.
