Freddie Manint, a CIO within the Louisiana court system, is hoping to mobilize the IT community with the following request for Katrina aid:Distinguished Technical Colleagues,

I am sure you can appreciate the extreme damage levied on the lion's share of Southeast Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. I know as a country you have been extremely gracious with items germane to human comfort and survival.

However, we can't forget the many businesses and governmental agencies that have been affected by this biblical catastrophe. Louisiana is extremely grateful to Bruce Claflin, CEO of 3Com Corporation, for the much needed infrastructure gear his organization graciously donated. If other industry titans were willing to offer Professional services, hardware or software contributions to this region, it would bring expeditious relief to a very devastated infrastructure.

Thanking you in advance for your help
