Global Social Media Week Kicks Off Monday

If you live in one of the six cities participating in Global Social Media Week, next week is jam-packed with parties, networking and educational events.The week of February 1st has been dubbed, "Global Social Media Week". This year six cities are participating: Berlin, London, New York, San Francisco, Sao Paolo and Toronto. Over 100 events span the week and cities and if you are an entrepreneur or consultant, you should be at as many events as possible. The majority of the events are free which gives you no excuse not to attend.
Some of the events are already sold out or at capacity but most have waiting lists.
Here are some of the events that will be held during the week:
Berlin
Startup Crawl - the group will visit a variety of startups in the Berlin area
Finding the best talent - a look at recruiting and retaining the best workers
London
Where's the ROI in social media? - Can we move past the hype?
Third Sector and the real-time web - a look at how charities are using social media
New York
The mayor and social media - how NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg used social media to help his campaign last year
Media Camp - un-conference focused on social media, mobile and blogging
San Francisco
Lunch 2.0 - a popular networking group - this time they will meet at LolApps
SF NewTech - a large gathering where several startups demo each month
Sao Paolo
Events in Sao Paolo are centered around the following themes: society, culture, business, communication and participation.
Toronto
