Google Maps Voice Search used to be an app for mobile use only. Now it's a free service for mapping and directions that works with any system running Google Chrome, too. I took a look.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The voice recognition worked better than I expected--though I admit I am great material for voice recognition with my flat, clear accent. Southerners, Texans and New Englanders with regional tones might have a tougher time.
