Accenture Introduces Green Technology Suite

Consulting firm Accenture introduced the Accenture Green Technology Suite, software to help businesses manage IT in a way that supports their green policies.The Accenture Green Technology Suite includes the Accenture Green Maturity Model for assessing the environmental efficiency of an organization's IT infrastructure and suggesting areas of improvement; the Data Center Estimator, for calculating the environmental and financial impact of data centers and coming up with energy reduction strategies; and the Workplace Estimator, for developing recycling and energy-saving policies for personal computers.

"The new tools, whether used together or individually, provide organizations with much-needed insight into their power consumption and environmental footprint," said Steve Nunn, global lead for green IT at Accenture. "By implementing the specific, tailored green recommendations, organizations can achieve measurable environmental improvements that contribute to bottom line savings."Accenture press release
