The Cobalt Group Inc. says it has added new features to its line of retailing and customer-relationship-management applications. The company has updated its Prospector line, which is designed to help car dealers manage customer relationships and their showroom operation.

The upgraded Prospector integrates with 80% of the dealer-management systems sold today, Cobalt says. It also sports new management reports that are intended to help dealers increase their sales staff's performance. The company says it also has put an advanced search and sorting engine into the app.

According to Cobalt, 6,000 dealerships use Prospector. Pricing hasn't been disclosed.

By midsummer, Prospector will be integrated with Cobalt's Lead Manager Customer Central and Desking applications, according to the company. Working together, the company says, the trio will boast "a seamless user experience and comprehensive CRM" functions.

As one might expect, Lead Manager is a lead-management app. Desking helps sales managers generate multiple deal structures for each prospective buyer.
