Garmin Goes To The Dogs

We're seeing GPS in a ton of cell phones lately, but Garmin thinks humans shouldn't be the only ones who get the benefits of these satellites. The company has released a GPS-enabled dog collar to ensure that you know the location of your pooch.When I briefly glanced at the description and saw the $199 price tag, I thought it was another overblown, unnecessary pet product. I was going to put it in the same category as a dog tuxedo.

But if you're a hunter, a good hunting dog can be hard to find. Beyond the emotional investment and extensive training, these doggies can cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

With that in mind, it might not be a bad idea to be able to "know if your dog is pointing, sitting, moving, or treeing" every 5 seconds.
