Supply-chain management software vendor Manugistics Group Inc. last week acquired privately held Digital Freight Inc., a Lexington, Ky., online logistics exchange that handles $1.9 billion in freight for 38 companies. The exchange will offer Manugistics' logistics-management applications, including NetWorks Transport RFQ Optimization software. Lori Mitchell-Keller, Manugistics' senior VP of strategy, says the app lets shippers select carriers based on complex specifications.
