A full set of specifications and images for the Motorola Droid RAZR M 4G LTE have been leaked and offer a peek at what Verizon Wireless and Motorola have planned for their event scheduled for September 5.

The RAZR M follows in the footsteps tread by the RAZR and RAZR MAXX. That is to say it is slim, covered in Kevlar, and similar in appearance to its Verizon predecessors. It will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but not 4.1 Jelly Bean. Since the device hasn't been officially announced, neither Motorola nor Verizon Wireless has had a chance to say if the RAZR M will be updated to Jelly Bean or not.

The RAZR M will have a 4.3-inch qHD display. The qHD resolution (540 x 960) is a bit disappointing. The invitation to the Motorola/Verizon event makes liberal and obvious use of the word "display." Why call attention to a display that's not full 1280 x 720 HD, which Motorola recently shipped on the Atrix HD?

According to the leaked information, which was published by Engadget, the display is a Super AMOLED Advanced and will include Motorola's ColorBoost technology. This combination could make for a potently bright and colorful display, but HD would have made it even better. The display will be protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 2.

Other specs include a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, though the clock speed of that processor wasn't leaked. The processor will be paired to 1 GB of RAM and the device will have 8 GB of internal storage and, of course, will be compatible with microSD cards for additional storage.

On the media side of things, the RAZR M will feature an 8-megapixel main camera that's capable of capturing 1080p HD video. It will be joined by a 3-megapixel user-facing camera. The video spec of the front-facing shooter wasn't shared, but surely it will offer 720p HD video capture for high-def video chatting.

Last up, connectivity. The RAZR M will support Verizon's 3G and LTE 4G networks, as well as the GSM/HSPA+ networks of global operators. Perhaps most importantly, the RAZR M will also include NFC (near-field communications) for additional functions, such as sharing contacts and possibly even making mobile payments.

The whole package will weigh 4.44 ounces. As a point of comparison, the iPhone 4S weighs 4.9 ounces and the Samsung Galaxy S III weighs 4.65 ounces. There's no word on exactly how thin the RAZR M will be, but the RAZR was a scant 7.1 mm.

There's no word on pricing or availability. I'd guess the price to be about $299, which is the price assigned by Verizon to most of its LTE 4G devices when they first hit the market.
