STI Knowledge To Resell Previo PC Protection Technology

STI Knowledge Inc., a provider of services and products for IT support groups, will resell Previo Inc.'s PC protection technology, the companies said Thursday. STI Knowledge will also use the technology, called eSupport Essentials, in all its IT support outsourcing projects.

ESupport Essentials is designed to protect the software and data on PCs and notebook computers by taking periodic snapshots of data and storing compressed images of the updates on a secure server. That allows help-desk personnel to restore PCs to any saved working state without manual troubleshooting or repair, Previo says. The company also says that the product can restore the complete contents of PCs that are stolen or experience complete failure.
