The End is Near -- For the Super Early Bird Deadline
This morning on my way to work, I passed a man standing on the corner of Mission and New Montgomery holding a tattered cardboard sign: Scrawled across the front, in black magic marker, was "The End Is Near".

You'll have to forgive me. I've been working too hard (or not sleeping enough), so I immediately thought of the Super Early Bird deadline for Software Development Best Practices 2008 . It's Friday, at midnight, by the way.
I'll resist the urge to swing into a full infomercial here (sans the Ginsu knives) and exhort you to register now, save $700, come on by. (Sorry couldn't resist the boldface.) However, we've spent months working on the event and really pleased with the results--especially the new All-Access Pass.
Best Practices is back at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Oct. 27-30, colocated once again with Embedded Systems Conference. Only this year, you can buy one pass, the All-Access Pass, and attend everything: all tutorials, keynotes, classes, parties--absolutely everything that Best Practices and ESC has to offer, including a two-day super session with Bjarne Stroustrup and Herb Sutter on the future of C++. It's truly a software development leader's paradise: everything from the latest on SOA and Web Development, languages and implementation and managing outsourced teams, selecting a development process, team building and coaching--and more.
See you in Boston! I'll be the blonde on Boylston street, holding the sign that says " The End Is Here!"
