Interwave brings Web services to one of the more remote places in the world, Micronesia
January 12, 2002
Micronesia, the tiny South Pacific nation made up of 607 islands spread over 1,700 miles, is getting a fully integrated cellular and broadband network on 10 to 15 of the islands. Interwave unveiled the $4 million deployment last week. It will let people, who up to now haven't had landline phones, get voice and data services. And it brings Web services to one of the more remote places in the world.
