3i Infotech, a global provider of information technology solutions, has announced that Master Cutlery has selected ORION Enterprise as its ERP solution and ORION WMS to manage its warehousing functions, thereby providing single source integration of all of its business functions.

Master Cutlery has been a leading supplier of specialty knives to retail stores and large retailers for over 20 years. Master Cutlery prides itself on being able to keep up with customer demand while offering below market pricing.

Prior to ORION, Master Cutlery was in a need of a full-service, integrated solution to run basic ERP functions including finance, accounting and inventory tracking in its 70,000 square foot warehouse. In addition, the company knew that it would need to support CRM requirements in the future. After testing other solutions, Master Cutlery found that 3i Infotech's ORION suite of products proved to be the answer, providing sourcing from a single vendor with fully integrated modules.

"Affordability was a critical factor in the selection process and very few software vendors offer the breadth of functionality available from the ORION business suite at a comparable price," said Victor Lee, President of Master Cutlery, "The business model of providing comprehensive features at a reasonable cost is consistent with practices we strive for at Master Cutlery, so the selection of ORION was a natural choice," added Lee.

"By using offshore development centers, 3i Infotech has the ability to pass the cost savings on to its customers. What makes our company unique is that we can still provide a suite of products such as ORION suite of products that is extremely competitive in the manufacturing and distribution marketplace," said Sharad Vajpayee, Vice President of ORION Software for 3i Infotech, Inc.
