Computer Associates (CA) has released CleverPath Aion r10, a technology evolved from a business rules engine (BRE) to a business process management platform. CleverPath Aion Business Process Management provides business rules and activity monitoring through a new, simple and easy-to-use interface for business users and IT management. CA’s integration of its CleverPath Aion and CleverPath Portal provides rapid deployment to large number of users. Ventana Research believes this release is a first step to addressing many organizations’ business process management requirements and will further CA’s ability to compete against providers like Fair Isaac, Tibco, and other BPM providers. We advise organizations that are looking for a single solution provider with a heavy focus on rules-based architecture and little integration outside the application to examine CA CleverPath Aion r10.
