Oracle CFO Harry You is leaving after just eight months on the job to take the CEO position at BearingPoint, the consulting and outsourcing-services company, Oracle said late Thursday.

You, 45, assumed the CFO post at Oracle in July, replacing Jeff Henley, who became Oracle's chairman earlier last year. Co-president Safra Catz will serve as acting CFO until a replacement for You is hired, Oracle said.

In a statement, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison noted that many "Oracle alumni" had gone on to serve as CEOs of other software and IT services companies and wished You well in his new position.

At BearingPoint, formerly known as KPMG Consulting, You will replace Rand Blazer, who resigned as CEO in November.

Before joining Oracle, You was CFO at Accenture, another IT services and consulting firm.
