Trillium Software has unveiled a new release of its data quality management application that offers new interoperability, application integration, and internationalization capabilities. TS Quality Version 10, Enterprise Services Edition, provides companies with growing data volumes a platform for establishing a total data quality program.

The new software is Unicode-enabled, allowing businesses to process all types of global data in multiple languages using a single product. The system also stores metadata as XML and provides prepackaged interfaces and Web services capabilities to make it easier to integrate with other systems. The software is also multithreaded to handle real-time data processing.

Version 10 also offers enhanced reporting tools and an improved, easier-to-use interface in recognition of the fact that a growing number of business users have a stake in data quality processes.

Trillium also announced that telecommunications giant BT has extended its license to unlimited global use of the Trillium product. The telco's earlier license limited it to a finite number of users. BT uses the software to manage the quality of its customer name and address data. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
