Re: You can Eat ALL You Want
"Those are the reasons I like that type of device. I can see the health benefits of using it. But using a watch to text messages or post to Facebook is too much for me. It reminds me of the Casio watch that came out in the 70's because everyone needed a calculator on their wrist...."

StaceyE, except heatbeat monitoring; all other parameters can be monitored or measured by mobile apps too. Thats too simple when compare with wearable devicess and its synching process.

"I like some of the wearable tech, like the Fitbit. But the new iWatche's and things of that sort are not for me."

StaceyE, monitoring various vital parameters like heartbeats, BP, Sugar/glucose level and physical activities (steps walked/run, calories burnt, pulse etc) are good for knowledge sake. In that angel Fitbit wearable devices are good and cost effective.

Re: Self Control
"I agree with you. But I have never been one for anykind of diet that tells me exactly what to eat. I try to make healthy choices and eat right...but I don't think I need technology to tell me what to or what not to eat!"

StaceyE, exactly. Control ourselves has to be the motto. Why unnecessarily create a dependency with devices.

Re: You can Eat ALL You Want
I think it definitely depends on user preference. There are a lot of new technologies I wouldn't wear just because they are new. If they are necessary OK...but other the that...meh..
