Why not? You can in a self-driving car...and then you could stream something totally different on the glass.

It does seem that automakers might prefer to integrate this sort of thing into car instrumentation rather than rely on a wearable device. Maybe Google will license Glass, to work with automakers rather than competing with them.

The the idea of using Glass while driving, when there are other mediums to capture information, seems curious. But the world of possibilities for those working outside, from mechanics, to firefighters, to USDA inspectors, to municipal workers -- the list goes on and on -- that's where the real potential for improved productivity seems to be. That said, society typically absorbs new tech where its most entertaining first, its hard to know where Glass will catch on best.

I guess I can see a GPS function; I don't really like taking my eyes off the road to look at my GPS's screen.
