Earlier this week we were excited to learn about the definitive launch date for Windows 10. Now Microsoft is hinting at the devices that will roll out after customers start to get their free upgrades.
Windows Insiders running the Insider preview builds already have a sense of what Windows 10 will look like when it becomes available on July 29. Customers will see for themselves in less than two months, when they download the new OS on desktops, laptops, and tablets running Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update.
Windows 10 is promised to transform the user experience across all current Windows devices. But how will it look on devices of the future?

Nick Parker, vice president of Microsoft's OEM division, gave us a hint at theĀ Computex 2015 conference. In his keynote, Parker discussed how Windows 10 should spark sales of Windows 8.1 devices and showcased a few new products specifically designed to run the new OS.
A range of new devices designed to run Windows 10 include laptops, tablets, hybrid devices and PCs from industry giants like Dell, Acer, HP, Asus, and Toshiba. Parker also highlighted two new PC form factors that aim to turn TVs into computers running Windows 10.
Here's a rundown of the products we can expect to see in the months following the Windows 10 launch:
In addition to the newest quad-core Intel Core i7 CPU, this device will deliver a 3D camera, gaming-grade Nvidia GTX 960M graphics, and a six-speaker sound system.
The Windows 10 Continuum feature should be handy on this two-in-one laptop with detachable keyboard. The tablet measures 8.45mm and has a projected 14 hours of battery life.
This device is described as "tablet first," but the hybrid also accommodates a magnetic hinge keyboard. It's another good device for the Continuum feature. Microsoft is also promising a new HP tablet that will target mobile productivity with new note-taking features.
The Aspire Z series from Acer are all-in-one PCs that promise more powerful computing and audio features in a thin package that measures 1.4 inches.
The new, larger counterpart to the Dell XPS 13 features the same InfinityEdge display design.
An upcoming Toshiba PC will include biometric security technology, including a facial authentication camera, to enable logins via Windows Hello. The device will also have an Ultra HD 4K screen and Cortana optimization.
One of two new PC form factors demonstrated at Computex, Kangaroo is a desktop PC that transforms your TV into a full Windows 10 PC. It has a projected six hours of battery life and a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello authentication.
This is the second PC form factor. The plug is a mini PC packed into a power adapter instead of a stick you'd plug into an HDMI port. It's also designed to transform your TV into a smart computer that can be controlled using Cortana via headset or BT remote.
