Dave Michels is a principal analyst at TalkingPointz. Dave's unique perspective on unified communications comes from a career involving telecom and IT, including leadership positions in Fortune 500 companies as well as startups. Dave contributes regularly to multiple UC news and analysis websites, including NoJitter, SearchUnifiedCommunications, and UCStrategies, as well as his own blog at TalkingPointz. He works closely with UC vendors, research, and analyst firms, and engages directly with users deploying telecommunications and unified communications projects. Dave is the director of the Innovation Showcase, which highlights innovation in enterprise communications at the annual Enterprise Connect conference. A resident of Boulder, Colo., Dave holds an MS in telecommunications from Colorado University, a CIO certificate from Harvard, and an undergraduate degree from a California State University.
