Security issues dominated the NetWorld+Interop trade show last week in Las Vegas, highlighting better security vs. ease of use. Notable launches at the show: Cisco Systems' intrusion-detection devices and software, Enterasys' updated intrusion-detection system, Nortel's security gear for IP networks, Sprint's Internet protocol VPN service, and WorldCom's managed security services offered in partnership with Internet Security Systems.
