The AIIM Conference & Exposition will be held May 15-18 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. In response to the evolving technology focus, more than 50 companies will be exhibiting for the first time. Many of the new exhibitors are from the information management marketplace, including: Bearing Point; Cognos; Business Objects; Information Builders; Google Enterprise; Microsoft; and Oracle.
The conference content has been expanded from six to nine concurrent educational tracks that examine the convergence of content and information management. Conference sessions include case studies, benchmark/industry studies, and panel discussions. New topics include: Enterprise Information Integration, Collaborative Technologies, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Search and Portals.
The conference also includes tracks developed and delivered by analysts from Forrester Research and Ventana Research. Forrester's analysts will present two full days of information on portals, content and collaborative technologies. Ventana analysts have assembled a program designed to help attendees create real and measurable business value from their information assets.
"We are expanding the conference beyond its enterprise content management roots to expose attendees to the wider range of technologies that now encompass content and information management. We recognize that companies are no longer looking at 'silo' technologies to manage their structured and unstructured information; they're looking for solutions that enable improved information access, regardless of where that information exists or in what form it exists," said Christina Condos, group director, Technology Events for Questex. "This year's conference program builds on the traditional enterprise and document management challenges related to capturing, managing, sharing and storing information to also address the accessibility, sharing, analysis and use of enterprise content to improve organizational performance."
