IBM has opened a global delivery center in Shanghai, China.
The opening, announced Friday, represents another step in IBM's plans to expand business in emerging markets. The Shanghai Center joins IBM's Dalian Center and Shenzhen Center as part of IBM's China Global Delivery Network. It offers IT services in English, Japanese, Mandarin, and German, while serving clients in Japan, Europe and North America. The center has high security standards. It will support IBM's delivery of IT services, business application development, maintenance, testing and solution management as well as SAP, Oracle, Siebel, mainframe and e-business packaging solutions. It covers 84,000 square feet, seats 700 people and consolidates existing delivery sites in Shanghai.
