RIM Video Shows BlackBerry 10 Devices Including Keyboard

A marketing video with the first clear images of BlackBerry 10 devices, with and without the full QWERTY keyboard, were posted Thursday on Vimeo and then removed. The video lives on at other sites. Appearing in the video are celebrities such as Lady Gaga, J. K Rowling and Thorsten Heins. We also have some images of the BB10 phones taken by CrackBerry.com.

A RIM video describing a marketing campaign for the BlackBerry 10 product line was posted Thursday to Vimeo and then removed, but not before being copied to other sites. The video appears below.

[Editor: Sorry folks, we had to take down the video and images.]

The video describes a campaign the company will use to promote the new generation of BlackBerry. A mixture of celebrities and non-celebrities will get the new device for a day to do with it what they can and then pass it on. Included in the video are Lady Gaga, J. K Rowling and RIM executive Thorsten Heins.

The image below shows the Series L on the left and Series N on the right. The L looks superficially similar to the developer reference model shown by RIM earlier this week. The N contains the trademark BlackBerry keyboard. These are the first clear public photos of BlackBerry 10 devices with the keyboard.

BlackBerry enthusiast site CrackBerry.com says that the video appears to have been posted publicly on Vimeo by its editor Rob Jury. The video has been taken down and Mr. Jury may be in trouble with his employer. The images are screen captures from the video. More of them are available on SlashGear and CrackBerry.com.

RIM says that BlackBerry 10 is on-track for an early 2013 launch.
